Why Brain Harmony?

The science of neuroplasticity is the reason our protocols work.

The science of neuroplasticity, the understanding the brain is able to change in response to stimulation, is widely accepted and it is behind everything we do.  We know we can improve brain organization and function in people of all ages because the brain grows, changes, and creates new pathways in response to stimulation and input from the environment. We understand a repeated, simultaneous, multisensory approach works for most people and it will work for you and your family. No different than building body strength and endurance with repetitive and specific physical exercise, we are able to build those neurological pathways and increase synaptic activity at any age.

Your Brain Harmony program is as unique as you are and designed to provide you; no matter your age or diagnosis, the correct path to optimal brain function. We work with you to remove barriers to brain health and to promote brain harmony.

Brain Harmony Co-Founder Carol Garner-Houston discusses the cutting edge modalities to reverse underlying causes of poor brain function, depression, learning disabilities and general brain dysfunction.

Achieving C.A.L.M. through Frequency, Duration and Intensity

At Brain Harmony, we’ve adapted the traditional pyramid of learning to create a system called CALM™ - a revolutionary bottom-up approach designed based on how the brain needs to develop to reach cognitive balance. The CALM™ method mimics how people actually learn by taking all concurrent cognitive angles into consideration. While most protocols aim to address one piece of the pyramid at a time, our unified, bottom-up approach generates a framework through which a higher executive function may be reached. Through 1:1 sessions and support, we are able to define an individualized protocol for each of our patients’ unique needs.

The first phase in rehabilitating the human system is to provide comfort and safety. The neurological system is fed acoustic stimulation that calms the heart rate, breathing and sensory systems facilitating better reception of the re-organization to come.

Once safe, we can open the social portal of the human system with neural exercises for the inner ear along with bone conduction for the vestibular system. Since the vestibular system is a basic building block of the central nervous system, activation is essential to build all other skills which are dependent upon its solid foundation.

Full brain input is provided with sound frequencies that have been configured to impact very specific parts of the brain building connections where there weren’t any and rewiring the inefficient ones. The brain is provided with the highway paths of efficient communication and learns how to function optimally.

Once the essential skills of the central nervous system have been filled and brain mapping has been established, executive functioning skills develop in a logical and sequential order as intended. The individual is no longer stuck in primitive movement patterns, thought processes or limited by genetic predispositions. Self-confidence is achieved through neurological organization.

Two key ingredients for any successful therapy are the wisdom and compassion with which it is delivered. Two sisters, Lara and Carol, founders of Brain Harmony, have infused these qualities into all aspects of their clinic. They have put together a team of skilled therapists, working from their hearts as well as their heads, to skillfully deliver diverse therapies for improving brain function for children and adults. The results speak for themselves.

I have been thrilled with the results of Brain Harmony and iLS in children with Prader-Willi syndrome. This system can help with processing speed, speech and language development, and even sleep.

As a grandmom, I am eternally grateful for the intervention provided to my granddaughter with severe dyslexia. After completing the training, her reading skills skyrocketed. Now, two years later she is thriving in regular school making all B’s. As a physician, learning about the scientific basis for their therapies opened up the amazing field of neuroplasticity to me. For that I am also grateful.
— Dr Barbara Bourland, Co-founder, Integrative Wellness Solutions International

I was in a car accident resulting in a TBI. I had trouble with short term memory, difficulty coming up with words, inability to focus and my balance was off for over a year. I struggled immensely until I tried Brain Harmony’s home program. Even my chiropractor could not believe the improvements. Thank you Brain Harmony!
